City & Guilds is the UK's leading vocational awarding body, offering more than 500 qualifications over 28 industry sectors, through 8500 aproved centres in around 100 countries worldwide.

Established in 1847, Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMECHE) is the leading body for professional mechanical engineers. With a world-wide membership now in excess of 75,000 engineers, the IMechE is the United Kingdom's qualifying body for Chartered and Incorporated mechanical engineers. It represents mechanical engineers involved in a diversity of fields such as the automotive, rail, aerospace, medical, power and construction industries.

The Engineering and Technology Board (ETB) promotes for the public benefit the art and science of engineering and advances education in engineering and technology.

Improve is the Sector Skills Council for food and drink manufacturing. Improve works to increase the productivity and potential of the food and drink sector in the UK by developing the skills of the sector.

Skillsmart Retail™, is a not for profit organisation funded jointly by the retail sector and government to work with retailers to raise skills levels within the industry. Run by retailers for retailers, Skillsmart Retail™ operates under licence to the Department for Education and Skills and are part of the Skills for Business Network. Skillsmart Retail™ is one of a group of Sector Skills Councils collectively known as the Skills for Business Network.

SEMTA is the Sector Skills Council for Science, Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies. SEMTA covers 76,000 engineering and manufacturing companies employing 2,000,000 people in the United Kingdom. SEMTA is working closely with its Sector Strategy Groups to drive improvements in productivity by transforming skills across the sector.
