IMechanical Engineers launch on-line continuing professional development system.
London, UK. August 7, 2007 – The Institution of Mechanical Engineers in partnership with SkilSureŽ today launched "e-CPD". e-CPD is a new on-line system for professional engineers, intended to deliver a common, efficient and secure on-line tool for documenting an individually managed Continuing Professional Development record. e-CPD is the first part of a new service being developed at the IMechE for delivery of CPD activities in response to member requirements.
The e-CPD solution is available on-line to more than 80,000 mechanical engineers and will provide them access to a range of career management, learning and training resources, to assist at all stages of their professional career and beyond. In time, the service will include endorsed courses, covering technical and interpersonal professional skills, developed exclusively for members with partnership providers.
